This privacy policy applies to the Nimje website at nimje.org (the "Website") and the Nimje Tools Android app (the "App"), both made by Nimje Digital Solutions ("Nimje", "we", "us"). It explains what happens to your data when you use them. The Website and the App are provided "AS IS".
Every tool works without an account, except the URL shortener and My links, which need you to sign in. If you sign in or create an account, Nimje's servers store:
It is the same account on the Website and in the App. The Website keeps a sign-in cookie in your browser. The App keeps a sign-in token on your phone, encrypted with a key held in Android's Keystore and not included in device backups. You can sign out anytime. We use your account email to sign you in, send you sign-in and account codes, and answer you about your account. You can delete your account anytime at nimje.org/account/delete or in the App (Account, Delete account).
Some tools run on our servers (for example image compression, resizing, format conversion and background removal). For these, the file you choose is sent over HTTPS to Nimje's servers, processed, and the result is sent back. Uploaded files are not stored: they are deleted automatically, usually right after your request and always within 24 hours. In the App, all other tools work on your phone and your files are not uploaded to Nimje.

We use these logs to prevent abuse, apply the free daily limits and count usage. Logs made while you are signed out are deleted after 90 days. Logs made while you are signed in are linked to your account and deleted when you delete your account.
If you shorten a URL, we store the long link, your custom alias if you set one, and, to prevent abuse, the IP address, browser or app details and approximate location (country, city) it was created from, all linked to your account. New links are checked with Google Web Risk for malware and phishing. Short links are public: anyone who has one can open it.
When someone opens a short link, we record the visit to count clicks and show the link owner statistics: the time, IP address, approximate location (country, city), referrer, and device type, browser and operating system. We do not build profiles of the people who click. IP addresses of clicks are removed after 90 days; aggregated stats stay. Short links and their visit records are kept until the owner deletes the link or their account.
Signing in with Google is optional. If you choose "Continue with Google" on the Website or in the App, we receive the following from your Google account:
Why: we use this data only to create your Nimje account, identify you when you sign in, and show your name and picture in your account. We do not ask for access to your Gmail, contacts, Drive, calendar or any other Google data.
Not sold, not shared, not used for ads: we do not sell your Google user data, we do not share it with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or to personalize ads.
Retention and deletion: we keep this data until you delete your account. To delete it, go to nimje.org/account/delete (works without signing in) or use Account, Delete account in the App. Deleting your account removes your email, name, profile picture and Google account ID from our servers. You can also remove Nimje's access at any time in your Google account settings.
Nimje's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Ads (Google AdMob): the App shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob collects your advertising ID, approximate location (from your IP address), how you interact with ads, and diagnostic data, and shares it with Google to show, measure and personalize ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings. Premium removes ads from the App.
Scanners (ML Kit / Google Play services): the Document Scanner, QR and Barcode Scanner, Extract Text and face detection in Face Blur use Google's ML Kit through Google Play services. Your images are processed on your phone and are not sent to Nimje or Google. As described in Google's ML Kit data disclosure, Google may receive diagnostic and usage data such as device model, Android version, app version, a per-installation identifier, and performance and error data. This does not include your images or scanned content.
The Website uses Google Analytics to understand how the Website is used (pages visited, time spent, browser and operating system) and Google AdSense to show ads. These use cookies and are governed by Google's own policies. You can limit them by disabling cookies in your browser, though some tools may not work as well.
If you use the contact form, we store the name, email, phone (if given), subject and message you send so we can reply. We do not send marketing emails. The only emails we send are sign-in and account codes, account notices, and replies to messages you send us.

Most tools work without an account. You can disable cookies in your browser, reset your advertising ID in Android settings, clear the App's history, uninstall the App to remove its local data, and delete your account anytime. To ask about or delete other data, email [email protected].
The Website and App are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has given us personal information, we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and think your child has given us personal information, contact us at [email protected] (Nimje Digital Solutions, Amravati, Maharashtra, India).
All communication with Nimje's servers uses HTTPS. We take reasonable physical, electronic and procedural measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will post the new version on this page. Continued use of the Website or App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
