Are these image tools free?

Yes. All of them are free to use without an account. A few tools have a daily limit for free use, which is higher when you sign in.

Which image formats can I use?

JPG, PNG and WebP work with the tools. Use Convert Image when you need a different output format.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

It depends on the tool. Compress Image, Resize Image, Image Upscaler, Convert Image and Remove Background send the image to our server for processing, and temporary files are deleted automatically within 24 hours. Every other image tool runs entirely in your browser, so the photo never leaves your device.

How do I make a photo smaller than 50 KB or 100 KB?

Use Resize Image to KB and enter the target size, or open the 20 KB, 50 KB or 100 KB page directly. The tool lowers the quality and, only if needed, the dimensions until the file fits.

Which tool should I use for an exam or job application photo?

Use the Exam Photo Resizer for the photo and the Signature Resizer for the signature. Both let you set the exact width and height in pixels and the KB range the form asks for.

Can I make passport size photos here?

Yes. The Passport Size Photo tool crops to 35 × 45 mm or 2 × 2 inches, can make the background white, and creates a print sheet. Check your country's official photo rules before you submit it.
