About these URL tools

Long links with tracking codes are hard to read and share. The URL Shortener turns them into short links such as nimje.link/diwali-sale, the QR Code Generator puts any link, WiFi network or contact card into a printable code, and Link Statistics shows how many clicks a short link has had.

How to use them

  1. To share a link, open the URL Shortener, paste the long link and press Shorten.
  2. Sign in with a free account if you want a custom name and links that never expire.
  3. To print a link or WiFi details, open the QR Code Generator, choose the type, add colours or a logo and download PNG or SVG.
  4. To see how a link is doing, open Link Statistics and enter the short link.

Why use Nimje URL Tools

  • Start without an account

Create short links and QR codes straight away; sign in only when you want permanent links and custom names.

  • QR codes your way

Links, text, WiFi, contacts, email and phone numbers, with your colours, logo and frame text, as PNG or SVG.

  • Clicks you can trust

Click counts separate real visitors from bots such as link previews and search engines.

  • Safety checks

New short links are checked against Google Web Risk and a malware blocklist.

Your files and privacy

QR codes are generated in your browser. The URL Shortener and Link Statistics use our server, because a short link has to be stored to redirect visitors and to count clicks.

Frequently asked questions

Is the URL shortener free?

Yes. Without an account you can create up to 5 short links per day that work for 7 days. A free account lets you create up to 50 links per day that never expire.

Can I choose a custom name for my short link?

Yes, with a free account. A custom name such as nimje.link/diwali-sale must be 4-30 characters: lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens.

Do QR codes from the generator expire?

No. The QR code contains your link or text directly, so it keeps working as long as the content it points to exists.

What kinds of QR codes can I make?

Links, plain text, WiFi networks, contact cards (vCard), email and phone numbers. You can add a logo, change the colours and add frame text.

Which format should I download a QR code in?

PNG for screens, messages and most printing. SVG for large prints and design software, because it stays sharp at any size.

How do I check clicks on a short link?

Open Link Statistics and enter the short link. You see the total clicks, how many came from real people and bots, and when the last click happened.

Are short links safe to click?

New links are checked against Google Web Risk and a public malware blocklist and re-checked regularly. Links made without an account show a preview of the destination first, and anyone can report a bad link.
