Choose a PDF

The PDF stays on your device.

How to use the split pdf

Take a PDF apart. Extract just the pages you need into a new PDF, split it into separate files by range, or turn every page into its own PDF. Pages are copied without changes, so text and quality are kept. The PDF is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

  1. Choose a PDF.
  2. Pick how to split: extract pages into one PDF, one PDF per range, or one PDF per page.
  3. Enter the pages or ranges, such as 1-3, 5, 8-10.
  4. Press Split PDF and download each file, or all of them as a ZIP.

When to use it

  • Uploading one page

Send only the page a form asks for, such as a marksheet from a set.

  • Chapters

Split a long document into sections.

  • Scans

Separate a batch of scanned documents into individual files.

Frequently asked questions

How do I write page ranges?

Use page numbers and dashes separated by commas, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10.

What's the difference between the split options?

Extract puts all the pages you list into one new PDF. One PDF per range makes a separate file for each range. One PDF per page splits every page into its own file.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

No. Remove the password first.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. It's split in your browser and nothing is sent to our servers.
